| This is a concept game with lots of features. Will add some concept art and stuff etc. Just setting a thread up as a little portfolio. Will explain this when I feel like it Story: Includes wall of text. Spoilerized for convenience - Spoiler:
RIIIIIING! "FUCK YEAH!" shouted all the kids as the last bell went. Two seconds later doors flew open and everyone inside the school dispersed in a joyful riot! As John walked out clenching onto the strap of his school bag, people were having water fights, listening to loud music and cheering. It was the summer holiday at last! This was the best time for John and his friend Liam to go to their secret hideout... A shelter they made in the sewers. They had a lot of fun in there, having airsoft wars, raves and camping there. But it would only take an hour or so for this to be their last visit to the hide-out... "Today we're gonna explore, dude. Maybe make another base a few meters away!" said John, climbing down the ladder. "Sounds good to me!" said Liam, impatiently waiting to get down the ladder. Finally they were both in. The usual echo of dripping filled the cave along side a cold, rotten smelling air. They ditched their bags at their current base and slowly went off, accompanied by a blinding flash light. After only two minutes of walking they saw a misterious creature... It did not have a face or any limbs... But it was... Breathing! The boys both recoiled back in horror and then laughed! "Fuckin hell what is that, shall I poke it?" said John. "You can get fucked, I'm out of here... That thing reminds me of pedo Bob's scrotum!" said Liam. "Aww come on, I wonder what the fuck it is, I'm gonna poke it" "Don't you fucking idiot... Whatever do what you like, I'll let you and your new sex bag have your fucking moment but I'm out of here!" said Liam strolling off... "Fine you pussy!" As John reached his finger out to touch the 'thing' his curiosity climaxed until finally, contact was made. A cold, shocking vibe went through his finger and arm, making him pull back and shiver. He then ran off back home where dinner was waiting for him. As the family were sat down eating he was sweating like a pig and he got very pale... His parents stared at him. "Are you alright love?" asked his mother. He didn't reply... He sweeped his plate off the table and paused... "You can bloody clea-..." John lunged over the table and bit his mother's arm and then his dad's leg. His dad punched him in the jaw, dislocating it... he then cowered in pain as his possesed wife looked at him... She then also lunged towards him. He moved to one side and brutally smacked her head against the wall. As he was panting he called an ambulance and told them what happened and everyone went code red... the contract was signed. Across the whole border of the town huge walls leaped out of the ground the town was now void... Everyone just stared in awe... All silence was broke as a distant shriek was heard. The last gentleman to call 999 had to get his belly full as he was rudely intrerrupted by his zombified son and wife... The victim fell to the ground, missing a chunk of her neck, she then rose... The rampage carried on and the pack got bigger until they became the prey. The prey of corporate sharks who've ran out of ideas... They bought the town from the army and started recording everything on every CCTV cam in the town.
The quarantined place is now the set for FRIDAY NIGHT ZOMBIE SURVIVAL on Channel 4! 3 of the features... The game will be real time, hopefully meaning that on certain days certain events shall happen! The Landfill is a one way drop for materials, you shall scavange these in order to make and upgrade weapons The Monument will act like a scoreboard. I was thinking the scores and names could be engraved in stone but that would be complicated. With some creativity you could just add a screen to the monument. Like the one in HL2 with Breen. Another idea is just making a pub as a safehouse with all the scores on a TV score, this would be great as it would follow the sports theme that I would like to bring to the game Car Park/ The Drop In/ Spawn Point shall have two SAS trained guards which shoot zombies in a radius of x meters, should hopefully be a solution to stop spawn killing. When you spawn you will start with FISTING zombies! The pub could be a short distance away, still you would have to get through a few weaker zombies to get a feel of the game and combat, there you could maybe arm yourself with pool cues and balls as a ranged weapon. A monatary system will be implemented despite the game being focused on scavaging out of the landfill. NPCs can sell more special items, but I would rather keep it at vending machines. Basically, £1 for 15 pool balls and £2 for an energy drink which speeds you up etc. Food/ SuperMarche/ Food shops. This still needs some thinking, I am pretty sure I could scrap the supermarket idea but we shall see. Food) Can be gained from vending machines and food shops. 2 bars on the HUD are involved in this feature. Health and Nutrition. When you eat your nutrition fills up. It will have a level depending on what you eat displayed as Red/bad Yellow/Okay Green/Best. For every: a) Red point of nutrition you get 1 point of health b) Yellow pt. of nutrition you get 2 points of health c) Green pt. of nutrition you get 5 points of health. So basically as the nutrition bar depletes your health increases. There is no consequence for having the nutrition bar empty, just no healing. The Chippy) You go in, lock the door, jump the counter and make your way to the very back room where there is a huge freezer filled with fish (no it's not a brothel) and chips (glorious chips). You get a bunch of chips and put it in the fryer. One bunch is a small portion, 2 is medium, 3 is large/ each fill different proportions of the nutrition bar. One bunch=15 seconds to make. You can add a fish to the meal to turn it from red nutrition to yellow. Free but it takes time The SuperMarket) on Monday, which is supply day, helicopters swoosh by and drop crates in the car park. These are huge. You can drag them into the shop with your bare hands which would be slow. Different vehicles like one of those manual lifters and then forklifts will increase movement speed. If you access the main till of the shop you can see the x% of food in the supermarket. Once crates are delivered to the supermarket it will act as a beacon, automatically filling Sandwich (ylw) vendors or Sweet (red) Vendors around town. Again around £1-£2 for one of these. Vending machines, unlike chippys, will dispense your food faster than you can say "GRAAUGHHLORGRRRR" in a satanic voice.
