EDIT: I'm back! And with a better picture! Thanks to devvy for teaching me some more paint.net, I'm now great at it.

I guess it's kinda good if you're new. Although you have a lot to work at. Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll be quite good.

Derp, it burns. The second picture is plausible though.

I like the nice gradients on the second one. Sure, they aren't perfect, but keep training and you can only get better.
A tip is to consider how the mechanics of space works.
Think questions like; Does the planet have oxygen, gravity? How would the crust be formed? Would there be a visible atmosphere?
Where is the sun supposed to be and how would the shading be on it then?

Why create another account that says "Spend a week on facepunch" and link us to facepunch? We're all regular visitors to that site.
