Should I format my HDD?

Here's the problem:

And I've re-installed everything Steam related to get it working. I have drivers up to date e.t.c. - you know the story.

On one side:
Formatting my HDD will take one day of deleting and one day of re-installing. It will cause me extremely much hassle and I'll use days getting everything together e.t.c. - it'll probably cause multiple other problems.

On the other side:
I have tons of ideas for Portal maps, I really, really, really want to make some of my ideas, there are some stuff I want to try out, and I'm in a really creative mood specifically for Portal.

Vote seriously as if you were in my position.

To be honest, I think there would be less time wasted and less hassle if you just format. I know it's pretty shitty but it's what's best. And you get a super clean desktop

Resolved:
I remembered something. Around a month ago it said "Windows is running in compatibility mode, Steam may preform abnormally", And more then 30 days after that error I remembered what it said and googled it. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/gaming/39417-fix-steam-thinks-its-running-compatibility-mode.html worked. Hooray!

I think my desktop is super clean.

Also, I only have what I need on my HDD at the moment, so I'd only be deleting necessary files. (After Effects, Photoshop, Steam related stuff)

Download some version of windows 7 and get that freggin VISTA off your computer!

Let that be a warning from my side, if anny of our TG members still got vista, format FGS.


And Zemog, take all your valuable files, like your porn, saved games, music and souch over to one of the other hard drives, than you would only have to format the C:\ drive and still have your files

If there is annything else you need regarding HDD formating just ask me, i know this stuff.

PS. The Windows 7 Ultimate is the best version, and pirating an operating system is no problem.
