Hello. I recently created a few groups, each standing for their individual yet similar points.
All of them want new games from VALVe (e.g. Half Life 2: Episode 3) and I want VALVe to speed it up, yet don't rush it... Keep a nice pace. VALVe's only real problem.
Now, the groups:
We want Half Life 2: Episode 3:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WeWantEp3"Since VALVe's announcement of HL2:EP3 we were all exited. They used about a year and a half year on each Episode previously.
Now, using more time normally means better/more well thought out content. HOWEVER they aren't working on Episode 3. They will probably use one and a half years on it even though it's taking longer. This is of course due to the Left 4 Dead series.
I loved that series - but they are done with working on the games. Left 4 Dead 2 was finished just a few days ago with final touches.
Now that they are finished with it they are still waiting for reviews and other sales statistics to drop in.
I'm saying that they should go work on Episode three meanwhile. The game is released in 2 months. That's enough time to lay a great basis.
If you ask me they can split the team into two parts - the community service/still needed Left 4 Dead 2 and miscellaneous part, and the part working on HL2:EP3. Contradictory to what you may think, they still haven't done it.
Therefore I vote that Gabe gets his lazy (genius) ass off that meta critic chair and sets his team to work on Episode 3.
No denying you're rock, VALVe - it's just that you're a bit too... relaxed this time around."
We want Team Fortress 3:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WeWantTeamFortress3Since VALVe's release of the critically acclaimed "Team Fortress 2" we've all been waiting for a sequel.
VALVe has some amazing community service for Team Fortress 2, but not enough to make me a die-hard fan.
VALVe are currently working on Portal 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and they just finished Left 4 Dead 2. They might have 2 projects to work on, but that didn't stop them from announcing and creating Left 4 Dead 2.
So, what I would like to see in a new Team-Fortress game would be:
An entirely different Team Fortress game with the same style in visuals and stereotypes. A balanced class-based game with loads of community support and modification abilities.

We want Portal 2:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WeWantPortal2Portal - the most innovative game of 2007. If you ask me the most fun game ever.
Brilliant scripts, superb mood, great fun - and yet so simple: One weapon, no goals, no story.
Well, the goal to finish and get away from aperture labs of course, but still.
So, Portal 2 is going to be made - but VALVe is currently being a bit lazy. They finished up with Left 4 Dead 2 just a few days ago, and they are wrapping up for reviews on that front. After that they are (maybe) going to work on Episode 3.
They have 4 months of spare time now, just being relaxed - playing games, releasing updates. I say that VALVe should go back on "high alert"
These 4 months should be used on Episode 3 so Portal 2 can get some extra time to improve. Longer levels, e.t.c.

We want Counter-Strike 2:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WeWantCS2Since the release of the immensely popular "Counter-Strike 1.6" followed up by "Counter-Strike: Source" - with a bunch of spinoffs sticking to both, VALVe's Gabe Newell promised either a Portal 2 or a Counter-Strike 2.
Here's the problem: Only one was chosen, and that was - yes, Portal 2.
If they were to create a new game, I would imagine an entirely new graphics code in the source engine, more content and the same level of customization as before, just with more and prettier everything... a 64-player online multiplayer would be cool too. It's a shame Counter-Strike 2 isn't going to be made...
At the very least when finished with Episode 3 and Portal 2 they should CONSIDER a new Counter-Strike game.
That's what this group is all about.
Join if you want a Counter-Strike 2 and invite your friends if you want.
We want Left 4 Dead 3:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WeWantL4D3VALVe has just finished Left 4 Dead 2. Episode 3 and Portal 2 are inbound shortly after.
VALVe have not said anything to confirm or even hint another sequel. Usually they hold a poll or reveal their games long before public release of a trailer.
From what I've seen Left 4 Dead 2 was a bit rushed, but that won't stop me from loving the series. The hilarious stereotypes, the beautiful visuals, and the repetitiveness that never gets repetitive.
Left 4 Dead was a bit short, with a bit too few weapons. Left 4 Dead 2 is supposed to fill that gap. Personally I don't think it's enough new stuff to be called a new game - I'd expected a few tweaks in the engine, but very well. I still pre-ordered it.
Now, here's the part where Left 4 Dead 3 comes in.
Since VALVe might not make a third game I vote that they should.
It's an awesome series that deserves being in three parts.
I vote that Gabe gets his lazy (brilliant) ass off that chair and stops refreshing meta critic, but instead begins (or just plans) a Left 4 Dead 3.
