China versus the USA

CHINA VERSUS THE USA: A CHANGE IN WORLD POLITICS?



As we all know China is one of the leading countries when it comes to modern day economics, and have untill now only been beaten by the USA. But American economy has decreased rapidly theese last years, something that the current financial crisis has only made worse. The USA has since the second world war been the leading country for democracy and western thought, they have also worked tirelessly to oppose undemocratic or terrorist regimes all over the world (North-Korea- in the korean war, Vietnam, Cuba, Afghanistan and Iraq).

Will we enter an age where China and not the USA will be leading in world politics?

2044. That's when China takes the lead. From 2015 China will slowly turn democratic (Not rapidly) and the SEADT treaty will be signed along with the ANAC will as well (As opposed to Nato and ANEC)

Africa comes sluggishly after, but by 2090 they'll be able to compete with modern marketing and with their resources just like china skyrocket economically.

If we look at modern day economics I would definetly say it's true. Usa themselves got a loan on an entire 1.9 trillion dollars (as off 2009).
"The total debt has increased over $500 billion each year since FY 2003, with increases of $1 trillion in FY2008 and $1.9 trillion in FY2009". This all means that the USA will have a hard time "defending" the world when they themselves literally are swimming in debt.

Another thing we need to remember is that the American financial setup is completely different from the chinese one. Where the chinese financial structure is governed mainly by the goverment (which comes with being a mainly communistic country) opposes the corporate financial market we nowadays see in the western world(and especially USA).

Agreed. Of course there’s always a possibility China might epicly fail since their leader isn’t democratically elected.
