First, i have to say, Opera is the best web browser now a days. Beats chrome at startup speed and loading speed. So it generally load the pages and itself faster than any other web browser. BTW, firefox is one of the slowest web browsers to launch, measuring by processing power and time it requires to start.
Though, you can get a cool addon for firefox called Personas. It lets you choose from almost 70 000 skins and apply them, only by the click of a button.
Lemme sho ye:
Opera also got many cool skins, which you can apply from the appearance options. Not as many as on the personas tho.

Here's why I prefer Firefox (And also why it wins over Opera and IE and Chrome in tests)
It's customizable (I use echtophone for twitter updates, greasemonkey for downloading videos from youtube and tons, TONS more, I use personas, there's also themes and over (Seriously) One fucking billion addons for it. Great stuff. 5*s. It's the second quickest browser after Chrome, but it's safer and has more features (Some really useful for Porn viewage, e.g. dump history from the last hour and twelve minutes for example) and just incredibly many features. It's also got a brilliantly working popup blocker. It's the quickest to open tabs, and I use tabs ALL the time. Feels much less clunky then the other browsers. It's search features are by far the best, letting you search through text in all open windows, tabs and text. It may be the slowest to start, but it only takes half a second for me - totally not a problem. Also, IE starts slower. It also feels cozy and homeish due to it's customization and you can install dictionaries for it so it underlines wrongly written text on here, youtube, facepunch. Extremely useful. I also love the quickjump toolbars. Awesome stuff.
BASICALLY/TL;DR
Firefox is better for me in every way I ever needed and ever will need.

Lies Both safari and IE is faster. Firefox is actually one of the slowest browsers you can find. But the fastest one ATM is Opera. It is generally faster at every function and loads quicker than any other browser. It also got a handy turbo mode for when you are at slow Internet connections, which reduces the quality on everything that takes long to load on a site, like pictures and shit. handy when I am at school. Opera also got all the other features that you mention, like the searching through pages for words (ctrl-f on ALL web browsers). It also checks the words as you spell them and makes a red line under any misspelled word and comes up with suggestions if you rightclick, OFC this can be disabeled. The feeling of each browser comes from what you are used too. And since i recon you have used firefox for a long time, you must feel at home with it. I allso feel that way, but i know that the Opera is a better browser so im trying to get used to it now. Sofar it works great for me.
BTW, have you even tried Opera 10.50? It got out a coupple of days ago, and must be tried. The leap from 10.40 to 10.50 was revolutionairy. The people behind firefox has been saying that they are going to release a patch for it that makes it the fastest one. I have bin waiting 6 months for that now
Opera also is much more customizable and has much better pop-up blocker, when I think abou it... i dont think i had had anny pop-ups since i started using it...
Opera also got handy mouse macros, like hold right-click and move up and down, and you refresh the page

"Ok, ok. Firefox and Mozilla are clearly optimised for Linux, and Opera is clearly optimised for Windows. These optimisations are mostly obvious with the loading times, although there is also a little difference in the cache handling on the different operating systems. However, Opera seems to perform admirably well on most tasks, on any platform. When it comes to page rendering (tables, CSS or images), most of the major browsers perform very fast, with very little to distinguish between them. When it comes to scripts, Opera clearly holds its head above the others, nearly twice as fast as the others. The only one that comes close is Safari 2.0, but that is tied to the Tiger release of Mac OS (the recent WebKit nightlies claim to have a 20-30% speed increase on the JavaScript tests I use, but I recorded it taking a second longer - a much faster machine showed a similar slowdown)."
So overall, Opera seems to be the fastest browser for Windows. Firefox is not faster than Internet Explorer, except for scripting, but for standards support, security and features, it is a better choice. However, it is still not as fast as Opera, and Opera also offers a high level of standards support, security and features.

Are you KIDDING me? IE is a TON slower then the other browsers, and although Chrome might be faster, I wouldn't notice since I've NEVER had ANY problems with slowdowns EVER. Everything loads faster then the eye can perceive so I wouldn't even see a difference.

Might be well possible, but I wouldn't be able to notice.

Mozilla has crazy customization options as well as every other feature every other browser has (That I actually need/can think of).

Firefox 4.0 is out 18th of May. I wouldn't need anything else so I've had nothing to gain from downloading another browser.

Opera Turbo
The staggering demand for mobile Internet access and connectivity for a range of Web-enabled devices creates numerous opportunities for operators and OEMs (and drives the innovation that keeps consumers satisfied), but fully realizing the opportunities requires innovative solutions. As the demand is met, more competition for limited bandwidth resources grows. Building on the strength of Opera Mini data compression technology, Opera Turbo was developed to help optimize these resources.
Opera Turbo is a cross-platform solution, available for the Opera Desktop browser, Opera Mobile browser, and other Internet-enabled devices with Opera Devices SDK browsers. Opera Turbo compresses Web traffic by up to 80% — a 63.6% average in November 2009 — making the most of network resources and providing a better browsing experience. Benefits
Operators, OEMs and consumers all reap the benefits of Opera Turbo's data compression and savings technology.
Operators can: Reduce network traffic and save on data transmissions Improve the Internet experience by increasing Web page download speeds and performance Extend the longevity of mobile network investments Stay ahead of the competition by deploying quickly Increase user satisfaction and retention Gain insights into consumer behavior
OEMs can: Improve the Internet experience by increasing Web-page download speeds. Achieve and maintain time to market Enhance usability and user satisfaction Deploy Opera browsers with Turbo across platforms and chipsets and with both low- and high-end hardware Gain insights into consumer behavior
Consumers enjoy: Improved Internet experience with browser speed and performance Greater affordability and cost predictability Optimized browsing experiences on low-end device hardware A consistent, stable, high quality Internet experience across a variety of products Technology: How Opera Turbo works
Opera Turbo uses advanced compression technology to speed up data transfer and to reduce the amount of data that needs to be downloaded. By leveraging its experience with server-side optimization solutions such as Opera Mini, Opera Software is extending optimization to encompass other Opera browser products.

Fuck yeah, that's what I love! In fact, I've always loved American muscle cars, for example Charger SRT8, RAM or the Hummer H3.
Who the fuck need speed and style anyway when you can just mush it under your gigantic treads.
(Firefox, when asked about IE)
EDIT: I tried Opera 10.50 and I was surprised to find out it was actually slower then Mozilla. It doesn't add up to the benchmarks, but it might have something to do with how I've set up Mozilla to be quick, efficient and pretteh.

What tests did you run?

The video you posted is not a test nor can it prove that its faster due to that you only loaded different web-pages.
Also you might have had those web-pages pre-cached.
You should run some real test's like the one's i have shown.
Thats the only way to realy prove how fast the browser is at different tasks.
Though i respect that you choose FF. Its a completely personal choice.
If you want to prove who's the fastest run the test's.
