Bioshock 2

Am I the only one about to explode with exitement because of this game? Are there any Bioshock fans in the audience?

There are so many games now that I don't know what to be most excited about.
I think I'm sticking with Mass Effect 2 which I just pre-ordered. Out in a week. Got me the deluxe collectors edition thing. Just finished reading a Mass Effect book as well.

Also, in games Q1 2010, top five most anticipated IMO:

1) Red dead redemption
2) Mass Effect 2
3) Bad company 2
4) Splinter Cell: Conviction
5) BioShock 2 & Alan Wake - thai sharez placez.

Red dead redemption... oh man. Clear and decisive 1st place.

Wow. That reminds me so much of GTAIV. They could atleast have changed the HUD abit.

Agreed, that HUD looks far too modern to do the game world justice, still on the PC it remains an option to mod HUDs so if they go ahead with that HUD it will only be a matter of time till we get nice community "Wild-West" style maps and such

They still have over a quarter of a year to fix it. It doesn't come out until April 28th.

It runs in the V6 engine which is highly modifiable. SDK can probz be ported from GTA IV's fanmade one.

I'm sorry, boys, but Red Dead Redemption is not announced for the PC .

Also, who's getting BioShock 2 for the PC?

So, do you guys think BioShock 2 will get as good review scores as BioShock 1?

I mean, considering the gameplay looks almost as same, the multiplayer is everything but revolutionary and the game is made by different producers with only about 30% of the original team working on it.

I'm estimating that it gets 93% on Metacritic, whereas the first game got 96%.

Well I guess we just have to wait and see. 2K are pretty secretive about it, only a small percentage of the actual game has been shown.
I think it will be much better than the original Bioshock. The hacking system has been made less annoying; and boring, and the level design is now much more interesting. Like shown here:

The game will also feature much better graphics because it's, unlike Bioshock 1 - using the ut3 engine.
Also the soundtrack is pretty amazing too. In Bioshock 1, the music wasn't really a part of the game. But they've added a wonderfull new soundtrack to this epic sequel.

It's down to 88% on Metacritic based on 26 critic reviews. (4 reviews on the PC version, it's at 87% there)

So I got the game like three oclock in the afternoon. And now I've played it for like 8 hours. AND IT'S EVERYTHING I DREAMED OF!
