Themes in each city on the map

Oh hai again! Chief "axing" new questions about the wonderfüll gamemode GoatRP...
I was thinkin' of adding theme songs for each area of the map... wouldn't that be cool? Like... in a little city we could have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3SoISYjb3c ...

Cool idea. I support it. I really think we should use non-copyrighted music. That's why Newgrounds have a great royalty free theme songs without vocals that could fit into any environment. Just take's a bit of searching.

I think that we should make our own music on things like Fruity Loops, Audacity etc.

Also I think there shouldn't be theme songs coming out of nowhere. There should be ambient sounds in the BG (sea waves, birds, wind etc.) and then there should be sound emitters like radio's which have an appropriate genre of music to suit the area. This would make the range of songs we can use bigger as it would be OK to have songs with lyrics ^^.

I think that it would have a great effect. Imagine a supermarket. Have speakers with music + announcements!

Source does have a load of built in sounds. Announcements in the background is a cool idea, and I have a CD with 18 000 royalty-free sound effects that I got with a computer magazine, so that shouldn't be a problem. Other then that and possibly ambiance in woods and urban landscapes and theme songs for areas and environments I think that source has us set to go mostly.

Yeah everything is cool but all these different sounds in different places would put some strain on the servers.

If you mean processing and size wise, not really. Audio never takes up a lot of sound, and if I'm not mistaken, when compressed right you can have up to 18 000 - 10 second audio effects with 16 bit stereo on a server without lag.
